I arrived in in plenty of time and was able to weigh in straight away, giving me a bit of time to get something to eat.
The event order was randomised and I went first for deadlifts. I was happy with my 12 reps at 100kg!
I think you can tell I'm gripping onto the 60kg sandbag for all my life is worth as I plod along. I really didn't want to have to pick that up again!
Completing 2 out of the 5 events was therefore a great feeling, and I didn't do terribly at the others.
It was fabulous atmosphere, and so nice to have a couple of supporters! Another woman who trains at my gym was competing, and the gym owners were in the crowd. 😎
I definitely want to work on my log press and conditioning. Onwards and upwards!
